Lu Chunlong (CHN) - Gold medal trampolin

Jason Burnett (CAN) - Silver medal trampolin

'I wasn't nervous, just a little excited because he (Igor Cassina) had made some mistakes, and I wanted to cry.'

Jonathan Horton (USA) - Silver medal Horizontal Bar
'It's been surreal. I've used this term so many times, but it's the only way I can explain it.'
'This Olympic Games has been an amazing expérience. You know, I didn't mess up once. The team did well and backed me up. Walking away with two medals is just so amazing. I'm very motivated to go back home and work hard so next Olympics I can walk away with the Gold.'
Fabien Hambuechen (GER) - Bronze medal Horizontal Bar
'Well normally I have a 7.1 ' A ' score but in my steiner full twist I came back and lost two-tenths. So sure, a 7.3 would be good, but I thought a 7.1 would be enough to win. Even with a mistake I won the bronze, which shows that the routine is still trong enough. So for the next four years I'm going to be working and really looking forward to the next Olympic Games.'
Shaw Johnson (USA) - Gold medal Beam
'We get specials boxes to put the medals in, and they are silk and so pretty. We look at them a lot. I'll probably sleep with it, I am so excited.'
On how she felt going into her last évent in the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games:
'I had a headache and felt fatigued. My body feels tired. I was struggling on the beam and making mistakes I have never made.'
Nastia Liukin (USA) - Silver medal beam
On what she felt after finishing her routine:
'I knew it wasn't my best, but i twas enough for a medal. I knew Shawn would get it, and I m happy for her because three Silver medals is hard to take. I will remember thèse days for the rest of my life.'
Cheng Fei (CHN) - Bronze medal beam
On how she overcame her failures from the women's Vault compétition and floor competition:
'It is really difficult for me to shift my mind. I cried a lot yesterday and I was very depressed. I think I lost my spirit, my whole body was empty because I had been so successful ever since I entered Gymnastics. I have never been faced with a big failure like that. I have thought about having problems in my performances, but never thought about having problems in my problems in my performances, but never thought it could be so serious.'
Li Xiaopeng (CHN) - Gold medal Parallel Bars
'It means a lot to me. I paid a lot for this Gold medal, and I've had many mistakes and difficulties before. I got through the hard times due to the help of my teammates and coach. I will share the Gold medal with them. I kissed my coach (Chen Xiong) for the first time after the competition, and he smiled.'
Yoo Wonchul (KOR) - Silver medal Parallel Bars
'I am disappointed, as I didn't get gold. I made some mistakes and I didn't perform to expectations. This is my first time at the Olympic Games. For the next Olympic Games, I will try best for a gold medal.'

'The whole routine took a long time and was performed as a whole. I only felt i twas possible to win after I landed.'
